We’re all still on cloud nine over here from our Team Retreat. It’s always inspiring to spend time as a team – encouraging each other and trading industry tips and tricks. Our 2018 retreat was in North Carolina at Lake Norman and it didn’t disappoint. We’ll be sharing all the photos from the week via socials and here on the blog, but today I want to focus on one of my favorite parts of the retreat – the blossom bar/flower crown session.
We were super lucky to have Vickey of Vickey Lineberry Designs join us as an industry expert for this session. She is just sweet as sugar and was a true blessing to us. I’d recently been to a floral workshop and had the best time diving into “my creative happy place”. So, I knew that doing something similar with the team would be a blast. Since we were all traveling, it didn’t make sense to dive into a full floral arrangement, but the flower crowns were perfect and FUN! Vickey made us all feel at ease and was happy to share some of her favorite floral design tips and journey in the industry.
Vickey showed us how to carefully wrap a flower crown out of a few simple elements, and Skylar, our Houston planner, dove right in with styling the final product. Katie of KVC Photography captured every giggly moment and even snapped a few photos for us in downtown Davidson in our flower crowns. Gosh I love this group of fierce lady bosses, who aren’t afraid to be silly and embrace the moment!
