If your honeymoon plans favor a cozy mountain town or a nearby beach over an international getaway, you’ve come to the right place friend! Today the Chancey Charm team is rounding up some of our favorite US honeymoon destinations + sharing them below for inspiration. Need further assistance? – The Chancey Charm Team

Block Island, Rhode Island: Block Island is such a beautiful little island with a gorgeous hotel, The National. Rent a moped and take an island tour or enjoy the view of the Mohegan Bluffs from the beach after you take an evening stroll. There’s also a ton of nightlife, making it great for all ages.

Flathead Lake, Montana: Seriously just look at photos. Nothing else needs to be said. It’s one of the most spectacular places ever seen with crystal clear turquoise waters in a lake that goes up to 400 feet deep. You can see EVERYTHING. There are a few breweries in the area, and a ton of water sports if you want to be active on your trip!

Gatlinburg, Tennessee: A quaint little mountain town in East Tennessee filled with antique stores, cozy cabins, hiking trails, great food, and fun moonshine distilleries (with free samples!). Dollywood is here as well if you’re up for a theme park. Who doesn’t love Dolly? The cool thing about this place is that you can hole up in a cabin all week, or venture out into a precious little town. The fun is up to you!

Portland, Maine: An amazing town in the Northeast with great food, upcoming breweries, and a super funky downtown, perfect for walking around. It’s an all season location to visit, and easy to get to from Boston by train or car! They have some artsy boutique hotels, and it’s very affordable!

Nantucket, Maine: Another favorite! People think islands and the beach for their honeymoon, but very few think of this historic little island off Cape Cod with cobblestone streets, beautiful beaches, and some of the most upscale hotels and an amazing walkable town with so much history to explore! You do need to take a ferry or a plane to get there, and it’s so quaint and small, you are bound to be able to relax and enjoy yourself!

Asheville, North Carolina: If you are looking for a unique honeymoon that isn’t your standard island or beach, consider Asheville. It’s the perfect getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains with so many restaurants, breweries, unique art galleries and live music. Consider staying in a cabin off the beaten path to stay cozy for a few nights. And of course, you can be fancy for a day and take a trip to the Biltmore!

Austin, Texas: Looking for a honeymoon that’s well-rounded? Head to Austin! You’ll jam-pack your time there with arts, food, culture, local brews, music, outdoor sports, you name it! With 300 days of sunshine, the weather is always perfect for whatever you choose to do. For the foodies, there are hundreds of top-rated restaurants ranging from high class to hole-in-the-wall. For the adventurous, go for a hike at Barton Creek then cool off with a dip in the water. Spend your nights down on 6th Street listening to local musicians and checking out the bat colony that lives under the bridges. Being centrally-located in the heart of Texas, you can also easily take a day trip to places like Waco to see everyone’s favorite HGTV couple. You don’t have to worry about running out of things to do in ATX! A perfect place for any couple to enjoy some R&R together as they start their next chapter.

Juneau, Alaska: Most couples want to go to somewhere tropical, but depending on when they get married, Juneau can offer a beautiful majestic scenery unlike anything else. Mid May through mid September is the best time to travel there. The weather is between 60-80 degrees, which is perfect for all the excursions and exploring opportunities it has to offer. The town has so many quaint restaurants and shops. Locals are very friendly and offer so much rich history. One of my suggested excursions would be ziplining over the Tongass National Rainforest.
