The only wedding favors I haven’t seen massively left behind by guests are those that involve food. One of my clients gave snacks from around the various countries they’ve lived in in a sleek to go box at the end of their wedding. Gwen Stefani gave everyone Krispy Kreme donuts back at her wedding in 2011!

The purpose of wedding favors is to thank your guests for coming to your wedding and ultimately showing their support for your commitment to each other. As a result you should really try to find wedding favors which your guest will love.Some popular personalized favor favorites are; Cookies! They can include a photo of the couple to make it more personal. Another twist to a cookie are fortune cookies with a quote from a love song inside. The other favor that guests rave about are acrylic coasters with their names engraved on it. The coasters can serve double duty; as a place card and favor. I find many guests love personalization and editable favors!

I love when couples customize their wedding details. And when considering favors, that is a great way to customize. A couple provided sealed envelopes at each setting with a photo inside with a personal handwritten letter/note for each guest. I loved when a couple provided acrylics with each guest’s name in cursive which served as their seat assignment and a great favor to reuse later.

One favor that is becoming common in the Charlotte area is acrylic name placements. Not only does it serve its purpose of telling guests where their seats are, but they can then take it home as a favor.
