The Chancey Charm Team
- #1 - FURRY FRIENDS - What could be better than letting your dog make the announcement for you? Tie a handkerchief to your dog's neck with your wedding date on it, or the phrase "My humans are getting married." (We're HUGE dog friends over here, so this is a team fave.)
- #2 - SUIT UP - Have your favorite Etsy vendor create a pair of shirts that make the announcement for you. Then share a photo of you wearing it via socials, email or in print!
- #3 - A SWEET TREAT - Start the party early, by mailing guests a sweet treat, making the announcement. This is also a fun opportunity to share your wedding date, if you've established one.
- #4 - CLASSIC ROMANCE - It's always sweet to share a photo of the the of you embracing, with a sign that says, "I said yes!" or better yet, write it on your hand for a more edgy take on this classic announcement pose.
- #5 - SNAIL MAIL - Send your guests an announcement / save the date from your favorite stationer, or a print partner like MINTED.
- #6 - VIDEO IS EVERYTHING - In today's culture, video is everything. We realize many couples don't feel comfortable with this platform, but for those who are up for it, a personal video always gets people excited and emotionally involved. If a face to face interview is not your fave, consider having a professional film your engagement and any after party, so that you can send that out as an annoucnement.
- #7 - SPELL IT OUT - Use your favorite board game or a letter board to tell friends that you're engaged. This is a great way to show your personality, celebrate your favorite pastime as a couple, and say something to set the vibe for your wedding.
- #8 - MAKE IT A SURPRISE - Throw yourselves a private dinner party, to announce your engagement to family and friends face to face, extra points if this is part of the proposal. 😉
- #9 - KEEP IT SIMPLE - Who says you have to do something elaborate? a pretty photo of the ring on the bride's hand is more than enough to get the point across, extra points for taking it somewhere fun like the mountains, beach or disney!
