Wedding Venue Name
Lone Star Mansion
Wedding Venue Location
Burleson, Texas (just south of Fort Worth)
When did you open?
The Mansion has a fantastic history, but has been open under current ownership for full-time weddings and events for just under 3 years.
Why did you decide to open your wedding venue?
The property is so beautiful, it seemed a shame not to share it with others. And what better way is there to accomplish that than to have it be a part of the best day of people’s lives?!
How many guests does your venue hold for an event?
We accommodate up to 300 guests for an indoor ceremony and reception.
What makes your venue unique?
The history of the Mansion itself is definitely unique! The Mansion was actually built in the 1800s in Mississippi. In the 1980s, it was falling in to disrepair, so it was disassembled and the salvageable pieces were brought to Texas and put together again in the same floorplan as the original house. There are still several main pieces that are original; including most of the hardwood floors, the columns, crown-molding, and some doors and windows.
Another unique aspect of Lone Star Mansion, is that all of our employees have a deep passion for weddings. We are all emotionally invested in each wedding we do here. We love getting to spend all day with our couples on their wedding days and enjoy their wedding with them.

Best piece of planning advice to a new bride
Our best piece of advice for a new bride is to choose what is most important to you. There are a lot of tools available for budgeting and prioritizing weddings; but no two weddings are exactly the same. And they shouldn’t be! Whether it is the scenery, the photography, the cakes, etc. that are most important to you, that’s where you should focus your time, energy, and money. Once you determine what is most important to you, don’t be afraid to relay that to people. Your venue should know if your formal portraits are more important to you than getting to dinner sooner, your photographer should know if dancing is more important to you than a lot of family pictures, etc. It is your wedding and the focus should be on what will make you the happiest.
This advice is probably also tied with, make sure you love your vendors; especially the ones you will be spending a lot of time with. The vendors are crucial to your wedding day experience!
What’s your ideal couple like?
Honestly, we love all sorts of couples! So long as the bride and groom are in love; we are too!
