A southern wedding is the best showcase of classic beauty, timeless traditions, and the comfort of family and friends. The Lone Star Mansion, located just fifteen minutes south of Fort Worth, Texas, is the perfect backdrop for a true southern wedding. Sprawling green lawns and a stately mansion full of history warmly welcome everyone who visits. No matter if your vision is classic glam or full of rustic charm, Lone Star Mansion boasts multiple locations perfect for every part of your big day.
Before you step inside the mansion, you’ll be greeted by a manicured garden surrounding a trickling water fountain. Large columns create a breathtaking grandeur that will wow your guests from the very beginning. Those in favor of a traditional, plantation-style wedding can choose to have welcome drinks or a ceremony here.
The mansion itself is steeped in history. Originally built in Mississippi in the 1800s as a personal home, you can find that classic southern style around every corner. In the 1980s, the mansion fell into disrepair and was carefully disassembled then brought to its new home in Texas. The floor plan remains true to the original layout with salvageable pieces such as the columns, hardwood floors, millwork and windows refinished to their original beauty. You’ll feel at home as soon as you open the front doors. Double staircases and a crystal chandelier greet you as you walk through onto the back patio toward the ballroom. The ballroom is a flexible space that can host both ceremonies and receptions with a wall of windows acting as a frame to the large oak trees beyond and crystal chandeliers reflect endless natural light across the room.
The mansion has spacious rooms for both sides of the wedding party to prep with privacy for their walk down the aisle. Couples can also spend their wedding night in the gorgeous master bedroom featuring a four-post bed next to a wall of windows overlooking the lawns. Breakfast in bed the next morning will be the sweetest way to start your new life together.
A few steps down from the mansion’s front façade is the rolling green lawn encompassed within a white picket fence. A large oak tree is the focal point of outdoor ceremonies and has heard countless sacred vows spoken beneath its long branches. For couples that are drawn to natural and rustic, the Carriage House is the perfect fit for their reception. Wood rafters lined with flowing white fabric bring softness to this space. Couples have fun getting creative with this space to make it reflect their personal interests. Located in between the lawns and mansion, your guests will appreciate the natural flow from one wedding day element to the next.
Lone Star’s timeless beauty and intimate setting will create a magical day your families will forever cherish. Learn more about Lone Star Mansion here!
