- Have a back up plan for bad weather. The weather for your Colorado mountain wedding can be unpredictable and it may snow – even in the middle of summer! Whatever happens, you want your wedding day to go off without a hitch. Talk to your Denver wedding planner about alternative plans for inclement weather.
- Bonus tip! Take advantage of the colder weather when thinking of drinks and cocktails. For example: mulled spiced wine, spiked apple cider or Mexican spiced cocoa. For favors for your Colorado mountain wedding, try something seasonal like a cozy throw blanket, homemade vanilla for baking those warm winter goods, maple syrup or a pretty Christmas ornament. For the bride – indulge in some essential oils or lotions and focus in on moisturizing those areas that you’d like to show off (arms, nails, lips…) to make sure your skin is luminous on the day of!
- Be considerate of the high altitude. For older guests and other guests traveling from out of state, it’s always safe to have an oxygen supply on hand just in case.
- Sunscreen & H2O. Have plenty of water and sunscreen on hand for you and your guests. Even a short amount of time in the sun at high altitudes can cause a pretty bad burn!
- Don’t forget about the logistics. Make sure there are transportation options for guests once they arrive for your Colorado mountain wedding. Is the wedding location close to the airport? Are there other things that guests can do while in town? Your Denver wedding planner can help you plan for these details!
- Help your guests know what to pack. For out of town family members and friends, help inform them of important items to pack since the weather up in the Colorado mountains can vary drastically from the weather in Denver.
- Welcome them in style. Include a personal greeting or welcome package for guests when they arrive. Items you might want to include are a list of local restaurants to check out, or attractions to visit.
Considering all the items above will make your Colorado mountain wedding experience so much more enjoyable for both you and your guests!
