Tucked away near 17th Street in Atlanta lives a quaint, romantic venue known as Summerour Studio. The endearing atmosphere of this refurbished building is anything but dull to me. With an open 8,000 square foot main area, this venue provides endless planning opportunities. However, the many visually pleasing aesthetics in this building tend to speak for themselves. Their roof is supported by large, exposed bow trusses that create a rustic feel with the hard wood flooring, and also allow the open floor plan to be free of intrusive columns. Additionally, the large open area is accented by a stream of windows that line the entire length of the room, displaying a stunning view of midtown Atlanta.
As most of the venue provides an elegantly rustic, yet industrial atmosphere, the courtyard entrance is sure to make an impression. Exposed brick and arched walkways pattern the walls surrounding the courtyard entrance creating a beautiful rustic-Tuscan villa feel. My favorite part of the courtyard is the vibrant greenery crawling up the walls outlining the loose pebble stone flooring. The charming details of this location will surely take your guests to a dreamy, romantic getaway at your wedding.
Essentially, decorative planning shouldn’t be too complex. I have seen a trend of simple, pale pinks and golds, light-colored flowers and simple burlap table settings. That is what is so wonderful about Summerour Studio, the venue is so beautiful it doesn’t need much else. The twinkling lights lined about the courtyard, greenery placed effortlessly throughout the event space, and old wooden flooring builds the rustic-modern balance you have been looking for. What can we say? Simplicity is best. We hope you find that out for yourself at this quaint Atlanta venue. Please enjoy a few photos below of one of our latest weddings at this venue.
